A Ray of Light Wedding Ceremonies

Rev. Osha Ray’s ceremonies are available in Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas with no travel fee. The location can be as casual as in a private residence, the park, Mission Rose Garden, beach, Court House Tower, Sunken Gardens or at any of the most sophisticated restaurants, hotels or resorts. Additional fee for weddings outside the area or additional driving time.

Ceremony is provided in advance for your review. Each couple’s personal wishes are honored as Osha invites the couple to participate in their wedding ceremony. The couple selects which passages they choose to include from the beautifully written prepared text.

Some favorite rituals are the Wine Ceremony, Unity Candle Lighting, Native American Wedding blessing, the ancient breaking of the glass from the Jewish tradition, and breaking and sharing bread from the Greek Orthodox tradition.

Additional selections include Wedding Outdoors, On the Beach – Sand Ceremony, Rose ceremony to acknowledge appreciation of parents, and Inclusion of Children when the ceremony marks not only the union of a couple as husband and wife, but also celebrates the coming together of children to form a new family. Personal additions are welcomed if the couple has written their own vows or want to add a favorite verse, poem or song. You are welcome to have a friend or family member participate in your personal additions.

Simple Wedding Ceremony Plus Fee: $200
Your choice of location within the Santa Barbara area

Beautifully written, heartfelt ceremony approximately 15 – 25 minutes. Little or no advance notice needed, depending on Osha’s availability. Ceremony is not provided in advance for your review. Keepsake copy is included.

Simple Wedding Ceremony Fee: $150

Beautifully written, heartfelt ceremony approximately 15 – 20 minutes. Ceremony is not provided in advance for your review. Keepsake copy is included. Ceremony is performed at the Santa Barbara Court House Tower or Sunken Gardens with little or no advance notice needed, depending on Osha’s availability.

Note: The Simple Wedding Ceremony/Plus is available for 2 or 200 people. We start promptly at the agreed appointed time.

Marriage License:

You will need a marriage license and one witness. If you have no witness, one is invited from the observers at the location. The couple obtains their marriage license in the California county of their choice within ninety days of the date of their ceremony. The couple signs their license at the County Clerk’s office at the time of issuance. The license is signed by one or two witnesses at the end of the wedding ceremony.
